Over the past 25 years, critics have repeatedly accused academic architecture of being utterly indifferent to its users. Rather than resigning and accepting these assumptions, architecture needs a counter-argument. By speculating on the rich socio-political and cultural experiences which can occur on sloped surfaces when inhabited, this research will charge architecture with a fresh rebuttal.
